The Department of Geography and Environmental Studies deals with the study of physical, environmental and human phenomena in space.
The students in the department acquire theoretical, factual and applied knowledge as well as research tools and skills for understanding the environment
Department of Natural Resources and Environment Management
The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management is the first in Israel to study interdisciplinary environmental management in higher education in Israel.

The School of Environmental Sciences offers a vibrant, multidisciplinary academic framework for engaging the scientific, technological, and social dimensions of the greatest environmental challenges facing the world today
The new school is an integration of the existing departments of Geography and Environmental Studies and Natural Resources and Environmental Management and offers bachelor's, master's and PhD degree programs in the fields of human and physical environments, environmental management and impact, natural resources, disaster, sustainability and resilience, themes that are at the core of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Haifa's vision and developmen goals.
