About the Faculty of Social Sciences

The Herta & Paul Amir Faculty of Social Sciences aim to provide the student with the tools and knowledge to understand human behavior in its social and cultural environment, and will provide the student with both the theoretical and practical knowledge for a wide range of professions. In addition, the departments of Economics, Psychology, Communication, Sociology and Anthropology, Political Science, Geography and Environmental Studies, International program in applied child development, Peace and Conflict Management studies and School of Criminology provide the basic training for those students interested in pursuing a graduate research career. Studies in Statistics, Management Information Systems and Computer Sciences provide the tools and knowledge for the Hi-Tech industry and fields in which advanced statistical methods are required for social, medical, epidemiological research, and quality control.
